Tuesday 28th May 2013 'VERSATILE THREE DIMENSIONAL FLOWERS' with Linda Walker

A day making two different three-dimensional flowers which would be suitable to decorate cakes, garments or to be independent as a brooch. Free motion embroidery experience required.
Friday 7th June 2013 'BRAID QUILT' with Elaine Green
£30.00 (deposit £10.00)
Using graduated colours, this is a quick quilt with stunning results.

As the title suggests!!!! This is a quilt you can make with just one jelly roll and nothing more. So grab a jelly roll and come along.
Saturday 1st June 2013 'QUILT WITH NO NAME #4" with Elaine Green - SORRY FULLY BOOKED

This series of quilts is based on simple piecing techniques, but with amazing results. The 4th in our series, once again uses large fabric blocks and smaller strip-pieced blocks. A quick quilt which is sure to impress - you should be able to complete this quilt top in a day.

This amazing bag will look good in any type of fabric, but works particularly well in batiks. It uses strips of wadding - so time to dig them out and use them up!!

All you need to know to get you started in patchwork. How to rotary cut, use patchwork rulers and cutting mats and how to piece accurately, as well as lots of tips and tricks.
Friday 14th June 2013; Friday 28th June 2013 and Friday 12th July 2013 'INTRODUCTION TO FREEHAND MACHINE EMBROIDERY' with Linda Walker

This 3-week course will teach you to do freehand machine embroidery with confidence. Starting with setting up your machine and then exploring the different types of stitches that you can do with and without a hoop. Over the 3 weeks you will make a stitched notebook, a needle/scissor case and beautiful 3-dimensional flowers.
Saturday 15th June 2013 'MENDING AND ALTERATIONS' with Philippa Richardson

Following the success of 'The Great British Sewing Bee' , this workshop will teach you how to mend and alter the clothes in your wardrobe. You will discover how to mend holes and ripped seams and also how to alter clothes that are too long, too short, too big or too small along with lots of tricks and tips.

A workshop to dispel the mystery of inserting a zip. You will learn how to insert a regular zip, as well as an invisible zip.

Saturday 13th July 2013 'DRESSMAKING FOR BEGINNERS' with Philippa Richardson

Start the very basics of dressmaking in this beginners workshop. You will be shown how to make your own skirt pattern and then construct a simple bias-cut 'flippy' cotton summer skirt.
