You will need matching thread, 0.4m/0.5 yards of interfacing, and 12 1.5cm/0.75" buttons.
 
Merchant & Mills suggest linen, linen blends, tencel, tencel/linen, 4-8oz denim, cotton chambray, indian handweaves, fine wool, or needlecord.
