We service and repair most makes of sewing machines, overlockers and embroidery machines.

We offer a free estimate, repairs take between 7-10 days.

Most manufacturers recommend that you have your machine serviced every few years. If used daily, then serviced annually would be ideal.
More sophisticated machines will tell you when they’re due for a service by counting the stitches.

What to bring for servicing…

As well as your machine, our mechanic will need;

​

• Foot control & lead

• Bobbin case

• Correct bobbin

• Standard zig zag Presser foot

• If embroidery machine, hoop & embroidery foot

​

A service will include…

• Removing lint and dust build up, engineer will start with stripping down and cleaning out whole machine.

• Stripping off old lube then re-lubing and re-greasing where appropriate.

• Checking timing of bobbin case & feed dog.

• Checking hook driver and bobbin case for burrs.

• Checking feed dog & needle bar height.

• Checking the tension top & bottom.

• Checking for pattern distortion.

• Checking quality of buttonholes.

• Checking gears for wear & play.

• Checking electrics & wiring.

• Repair or replace broken parts.

• Updating firmware if applicable.

• Clean outer machine.

• Sew off to test.

Guarantee…

A service carries a 6 month guarantee, this covers only the items we have replaced or repaired.
This does not cover needles, threaders, nor bulbs.
