The Women's Five-Pocket Jeans sewing pattern features all the traditional details you'd expect from a good pair of denim jeans.
 
They are slim-fitting, tapered-leg jeans with a comfortable, contoured waistband that falls right at the belly button. The classic details include a front zipper fly, belt loops, curved front pockets, a coin pocket, and pointed back patch pockets. The classic jeans look finishes with extensive topstitching to accentuate the seams and all the metal hardware, including rivets and a button.
 
Skill level: 3/4 - this pattern has several parts which an experienced sewer will complete with ease like the zip fly but a confident sewer could follow the step by step instructions i.f they would like a challenge.
 
These patterns are made in Europe so use a European sizing system, please be careful to check your measurements against the guide to get the best fit. We have found when translating this sizing to UK sizes they range from a 6 to 20.
 
You will need matching thread and a topstitch thread. Rivets, a metal jeans zip, and a jeans button is also required. For the pockets you will need some cotton fabric.
 
Wardrobe by Me suggest using a 10-13oz non-stretch denim. You could also make this style in a canvas or twill if you'd like some colour.
